About us

The Cromwell Veterinary Group can trace its beginnings back to 19th Century Huntingdon, where it has enjoyed an excellent reputation ever since. The 1970s and 80s saw the opening of branch surgeries at Ramsey, St Ives and St Neots, which have now expanded into larger, more modern premises.

Throughout the 1990s, considerable investment was made in the main surgery at St Johns Street, gaining accreditation as one of only 165 Veterinary Hospitals in the UK.

Staff, buildings and surgical techniques have come and gone across the years, but our desire to provide consistently high levels of care for all our patients has endured to this day.

We care

• We are the only Small Animal Veterinary Hospital in the area, fully accredited and regularly inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
• We provide a comprehensive diagnostic service including radiography, ultrasound scanning, endoscopy and electrocardiography. Most samples can be analysed in-house, giving fast and accurate results.
• We operate Huntingdon Veterinary Emergency Service from our own premises, with a dedicated team of Veterinary staff experienced in Emergency & Critical care procedures, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
• We are also an “Investor in People” practice.

Fees

You can find a full list of charges displayed at reception in each of our surgeries. Please note all fees are payable at the time of consultation, on dispensing of medicines and diets or on collection of a patient after an operation. We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash and cheques with a Bankers Card.
