Neil Slater
Veterinary Surgeon
Neil graduated from Liverpool University in 1995 and spent the first 5 years of his career in a veterinary hospital in Devon. He then worked in Hampshire for a few years before joining Cromwell Vets in 2003. In 2008 Neil gained the General Practitioners Certificate in Feline Practice - an area that continues to interest him in veterinary medicine. Non-clinically Neil is involved in vet and nurse education, training and examinations. He has additional roles with The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and City & Guilds in these fields and currently sits on the RCVS examinations board. Neil was the St Ives team leader from 2014-19, before moving into the Lead Vet role in 2019. Outside of work he can usually be found in the garden - in all weathers, either gardening or tending to his bee hives.
